Episode 27: Detoxing Your Life Part 1

Today is the first day of spring and we thought this was the perfect time of year to talk about detox since most of us have the natural urge to purge the junk in their lives and take on the new season with a healthier flare this time of year. What do you think about when we say the word “detox”? A juice cleanse? Expensive supplements? Restricting animal products? A sort of “punishment” to help get you into those skinny jeans?

Yeah, that’s not really our style.

On today’s episode, we’re re-defining detox. Because society has made it a little crazy and even harmful. We forget that our bodies should be detoxing all the time—sadly with all the life stressors, normal detox properties aren’t happening as efficiently as they should. We dig into how we approach detox with the whole body in mind and how you can create an atmosphere and lifestyle that naturally encourages every day detox.

We also get specific with our top 5 favorite areas to focus on for internal detox and give you steps to take to create better health and balance in each.

And we’ve got a little freebie for you too! We think this topic is pretty darn important and we want you to be able to focus in and make our recommendations a reality in your everyday life. Because a healthier you is a happier you and we kind of dig that.

    I LOVE your podcast! It is so very informative, positive and uplifting. I have a few questions for both of you that I’d love to get your opinion/knowledge on. First, what is your stance on ketones and the keto rage? My sister in law is selling the ketone drink for Pruvit and swears by this miracle drink for weight loss, no brain fog and says she’s gotten off all depression, anxiety and adhd medicines. I would love your feedback on this. Also, what are your recommendations on ways to help treat scalp psoriasis. Very different questions, I know, but appreciate any and all feedback! Thank you in advance!
